every now and then my trip meter resets itself for no reason. has anyone had this happen and is there a fix?...or should i just not care given that it doesnt seam to affect the Odomiter

Your cluster needs to be removed, and the contacts on the primary connections and intermediate board connections should be cleaned. It can be a delicate process.
