I have a 92 bonneville ssei supercharged. My top mount brake lamp will not come on. I changed the bulb and checked the fuses but still nothing. Any ideas on the problem. or is the common?

does the DIC show that it is out?

if you want to dig deep into it, take out the back seat, back dash, and pull out the 3rd brake light... tint the back window while ur at it

are you sure sure u had a good bulb?

yeah the DIC shows that it is out, I actually changed the bulb. Think its a short?

when you changed the bulb, did you actaully test it or just look at the DIC?

Did you check for power at the socket?

Problem:
Bulb no worky.

1. Replace bulb (they're cheap).
2. Check for power at the socket, if it'* there, check for ground (brake depressed for this step)
3. Check fuses. ALL of them, 3 locations in the car.
4. Check wiring.
