In my line of work I am called on to sometimes use my car for patrol and investigation puposes. I was looking into putting a set of flashers(ala police cruisers) just not on that large of scale. What I was looking for was possibly hooking the system to my Front and Rear flashers. I just did not want to upset the tempermental Light Monitor. Any help or suggestions would be great

Right. Strobes are in addition to any bulb you might already have. Usually the require a 1" hole in the light assembly with about 1" clearance for bulb mounting. I'm not sure on your local laws but here only certain vehicles can have the headlights flash via strobes or Wigwags. Everyone else is required to install in a parking lamp. The Bonnes will not accomidate a strobe bulb in the front parking lamp so I suggest a self contained LED lights behind the grille

I believe you are asking about how to wire it w/o setting off the lamp monitor. If so, it should depend on how much draw the system takes. It'* my understanding you power a strobe setup and then it flashes at its preset intervals. Only way to tell for sure is to test it out and see if it sets the monitor off.

hmm i dont believe that you can just hook up the strobes to the flashers. The strobe kits i have seen come with a box that they all have to be wired into, then you would just basically make its own circuit to turn it on and off and add a switch somewhere, or in some cases it comes with a control box where you can do many different patterns. I asked my local police about them and basically it goes like this: it is legal for citizens to have strobes in the front as long as they are white or amber, in the tails they can be red, white, or amber. Keep one thing in mind though because if you come to a stoplight and have your strobes on and a cop catches you it could be like a $4000 fine because of the lights that automatically turn red when they sence strobelights so yah, that would really suck if you got caught doing that.

Could you mount bulbs in the upper clear portion of the corner lamps?

yes and that is what i would do...personally

yah i mounted some leds in there for my headlights and so they flash to my alarm when armed but im not quite sure of the dimentions on the strobe bulb might be a tight fit.
