Default SilverStars for 1990 LE

I am going to be buying a set of the Sylvania 9006ST for my 1990 LE. Anything special I should know about installing these such as reports of them burning out the (my) stock wiring? Also, as for installing them, do I need to disconnect the battery cable or would just pulling the fuse the headlights run on suffice for that?

I would be greatly appreciative for any insights on this.

Nope. Just remove the old ones and pop the new ones in, should be no problem.
