rpm guage

for some reason, my rpm guage goes to 0 (stops working) randomly... any ideas?

Open connection...check the grounds both the sending unit and gauge?

The sending unit is actually the ignition control module. Check the white wire.

When the crankshaft sensor stops working, the engine shuts off, i know this for a fact cuz it happened to my 88 while on the freeway.

The information probably originates from that sensor before going to the ignition control module.

Also check your connections to the back of the cluster. Procedure in Techinfo for that.

the back of the cluster is just a plug, so i doubt anything could be wrong with that
