Default Rear Right Window

on my 1993 the rear right window(passenger side rear window) you can get the window to struggle down, but it wont come back up unless you push is up. what could this be?

If you only let the window down part way, will it go back up, or does it struggle to go up no matter what position it is in? If it only stops when it is in a certain position, it could be a dead spot in the motor. Otherwise it sounds like something mechanical has gotten stiff, of which i can't help ya

well since nobody with real knowledge has chimed in....

Take your door panel off and remove the motor. then try to move the window manually. feel real stiff? Try to find out why. Doesn't feel to stiff? probably the motor. Inspect the drive gear on the motor and the (rack?) gear thingy inside the door for weird things. can't find anything wrong? Swap motors with the right front door. It would be a pain to swap the motor just to check it, but it beats spending $120 on a new motor if it turns out to not be the problem

another note...i'n case you do take off the front door panel to swap motors, make sure you remove the little screw behind the inside door handle...there are others that hide real well but i can't remember them all right now...

now that i re-read your original post, i don't think its the motor anyway.

i dont like to dig up old threads, but.....

I fixed it tonight. I put a screw right before where the window should stop. What happened was that the window was going to far, and the motor couldnt regain, so i put a small screw where the window should stop on part of the slider thing you can see with the panel off, and it works great. wd-40'ed everything while i was in there too.
