--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

hello all,I dont know if I have come to the right place for help, but I currently own a 1993 oldsmobile ninety eight regency and my pass key system has decided that it wants to keep me from starting and driving my car,I have had the keys tested and they are not damaged, someone said that its most likely the wires that are connected to the ignition switch and they may have come lose or even broken,I have been told that I could fibd the components and unhook them to allow the car to enable the ecm and pcm to to reset and read my keys right. Now the problem with that is I dont know what any thing looks like and I dont know where to find any of these components or relays can someone please help me.

I can't guarantee the colors will be exactly the same, but here'* alink to a techinfo article that should be of some help - 1993 Ignition Switch color codes (wiring)

Unfortunately, i don't remember the procedure, but sice the keys are OK, maybe the actual ignition switch needs to be cleaned???

Right MOS, first thing is try wiping your keys with rubbing alcohol (and leaving slightly wet if possible and inserting into your ignition. That might help. If not.. the wire colors are probably the same and you merely need to buy the right resistors to get the value in your key.
