Don't know if its in the right forum but here it goes. I have a current and active onstar account. Called Onstar to update my file with my license plate number. I told them the light indicator next to the onstar buttons is mostly red sometimes it comes on green but mainly red. The onstar opeator said I have a malfuction with my onstar equipment and that it needs to go to the dealership for onstar service. I still am able to connect to onstar and they always have the correct tracking location for my car, the operator said with a malfuction that she doesn't know when onstar will go down and I will not be able to connect or have proper tracking. Anyone here have problems with onstar.

My dad works at the local pontiac dealer so maybe next week I will be able to get it checked out.

Since I have contacted Onstar the light has not gone red, so no need for service so far.
