Default Neutral =* trunk release

Sometimes when I shift into neutral or shift through neutral ( ie "D to R" or "R-D" or "P-D" ) my trunk pops open. This is very very anoying if I am in a parking lot and have to get out and close my trunk. Is there any certain thing I can do aside from disable my trunk relase to fix this? Thanks

Ed

it is because one of your trunk release button is sticking, usually the one on the door. there is a trunk release shut off that will not allow the trunk to open while the car is in gear, so when your putting it in P/N it is opening with the sticky switch.

im sure billboost has atleast 10 of them lying around he could send you a new one for a small fee

Toasty nailed it. Disconnect the switch in your door in the meantime. Use the fob or the key until you get it fixed.

Ok thanks for the help! I know the button in my door sticks for a second or two sometimes when I use it but it always pops back out. Maybe I'll hit it with some oil. But I minus well just get a new one not like that little thing is going to break the bank.
