My check engine light has never come on except for when one of my vacuum hoses came undone. My security light comes on sometimes but thats it.
As for the battery, there was no corrosion under the rubber boots and the terminals.

Have you checked and clean the ground bus on each side? The how to is in techinfo, if you haven't done that.

I just checked the ground busses on both sides and they are good as new. No corrosion anywhere. And checked a few other ground connections under the hood and are good. I guess I'll have to take it to the dealership and hopefully they can figure it out.

It might be worth trying to get a PCM from a junkyard. Most yards around here will let you return it if it doesn't solve the problem.

I took my car to the worthless GM dealer here in town so it'll be there for them in the morning and hopefully it wont start if they get to it in time before it warms up. I just want them to see if they can locate the problem, not replace anything then I'll go from there.

Well, I took that worhtless piece of junk to the dealership and they said ther was corrosion inside the battery terminal and on the starter side as well. They said the cranking amps were only in the 300s and not enough for all the electronic crap to work causing the fuel pump relay to click. Well they were WRONG!!! I went out to start my car this morning and IT WOULDN"T START!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you want to buy a car before I decide to push it off a cliff?? jk, I am so frustrated right now I cant stand it, I feel like all over my car!

Take it back. They should fix it for free.

I took it back and they are going to refund me the money I paid them. I told them to keep it until it doesnt want to start then they can work on it from there.

Well my lemon started every day that it was there @ the dealer so I decided to pick it up and wait til it starts acting up again

Do you have an update? My 96 is doing the exact same thing. Was the dealer storing it inside a heated garage because I think outside temperature may be a factor.

Sometimes banging on the passenger side of the dash clears the problem, and sometimes not. very frustrating. You never know when it will fail.
