yes I know, I know. It has been discussed before, and blah blah blah. I know the way to do it with the photocell.
But I want to go a different route. The Lamp control module(LCM) is partially controlled by the Park/neutral position switch. When in park, you have full control over the lights. To me this meant there has to be a way to trick the LCM to thinking that it is in park. So a little FSM digging and you get this

Run a diode on the LT GRN wire 275 after the junction S296 and before the LCM. and another on the added power wire(for saftey although this one isn't necessary) and it should be good to go. One switch on that added power wire and you should have a way to swap between OEM and manual. For those times when you really dont want to have to think about the lights. Yes this will still require you to play with the twilight switch and such to turn your lights off.
Hopefully if the weather holds out I can get this done today.

installed, I fused it also, so I need to get a fuse for the holder, and eventually mount the switch. The switch mounting is in the brainstorming phase still.
Now I just need it to get dark.

HL mod switch, fog light switch, and eventual projector switch....If I was only doing one switch then it would be easy.
Installed completely and waiting for darkness.

Well I would like to report, that after a few DUMB errors that were all on my part, the over ride works wonderfully.
Now if I had fog lights at the moment I would be out driving around with just them on
