Default Looking for new alternator...higher amp if possible...

I am looking to upgrade my alternator, current one is starting to not hack it at idle, going to 12 with everything on at idle, soon as you get going it shoots back up. Far as I know that means alternator going bad...I wanted something better...I see Advance Auto Parts has a Bosch 140amp, most other alternators are 124. I am eventually putting in a sound system and the ELC compressor, etc...so I want more amps. Does anyone have any other suggestions or places to buy? Also just to be sure, it dropping to 12v at idle isn't good correct?

95 being a split year with the NA'* being S2 and the Sc'* being S1..the bracketry is different and that causes the problem.

I would have either bought a GM from the dealer or check with Summitracing for an aftermarket (PowerMaster) hi-out alternator - if your using alot of electrical power, I would suggest also an optima battery either yellow or red top.
