Default LED lamp socket problems

i was installin my LED reverse lights today (first mistake 24*) and i pulled everything apart and i put it in reverse and looked to see if the lights worked at all. they didnt. .so i tried to pull out the bulbs out and just the bulb came out.

i kno i mangled one of them, but am i supposed to take out all the corroded stuff?
