Default Knobbie climate control q?

I know that the ECC requires a lot of work to get into an SLE, but what about a slightly newer 3 **** control unit? I ask this because on my 93 the ***** don't light up, but on (maybe even 95) they do. Is it plug and play or would I need to make a harness, or is it completly different?

We're going to have to compare FSM'* on those two years for mechanical, vacuum, and electrical connections to answer that one.
