Interior lighting
Two things my car used to do but doesn't anymore:
1: Little green ring around key hole would light up when I hit the unlock
2: Interior lights come on if I pull on the door handle when it'* locked.
What controls that stuff?

The problem is the micro-switch in the door latch assembly. I have the same problem on my 93, and haven't bothered to chase it down until I'm ready to replace my lock tumbler (broken key in there).

Interesting..I thought it was only a slider switch when I fixed the one on my 97 after finding it zip tied down in the door.
As for the light..I recall that being a seperate connector and piece, not part of the switch at all.

None of the handles make the interior lights come on and neither of the key lights come on. It hasn't worked for a long time, but I think it has worked for at least a little while since I replaced the driver door latch assembly several years ago.
Why would the latch assembly have anything to do with it?

If I read Bill'* post right...he'* thinking it'* only one handle. If you lift a handle and nothing happens it would mean that the trigger from the handle is not working.
The way I see it if it were one handle..then your switch on the handle is bad when you lift it. If you get nothing from any remote or handles..then your module is probably bad or a fuse.

The Switch for the Door is a trigger.... when the RAC Remote Accessory Control sees the switch open( I believe you break ground ) Then the RAC will turn on the lights...
The thing is tho, do the interior lights turn on inside the car when you depress any of the Remote Buttons?
The RAC serves as the Retained Accessory Power, Remote Control Entry, and Illuminated Entry functions all in one box... As well if you have the security system the RAC will have some of the inputs and outputs for the system...
