Default Inside & trunk lights not working....help?

Ok, gang....put your thinking caps on for this one...my inside light & trunk light don't work. I've put new bulbs in both, had a friend of mine on another forum check the wiring out with a meter, and, they're still not working. I know the trunk light works on a mercury type of switch, but, is there something I'm not looking at or for? Is there, maybe, some type of module that may be the problem? I couldn't read a wiring diagram to save my life, so, I don't know what to look for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, gang!

Yeah, it'* a '99 Cavalier, no other power options (doors, windows, etc...). I believe it has the 1SB option package.
