Default Ignition Wire Current

How much current can I safey draw from the 12V ignition wire, like the line that comes into the back of the stereo?

I'm just looking for enough juice to switch a 12V quad pole double throw relay.

Just read in the spec sheet it uses 1.5W, which is about 125mA. That'll be ok?

yes it will be fine.

the amount of power to trigger a relay is next to nothing compared to other possibilities that are on that wire.

go for it w/o thinking twice

On a related issued, does anyone know what those connectors are called that simply "pinch" pre-existing cables allowing you to tap into them easily? And will they have them at like Home Depot/Home Hardware?

Depending on the type...they are called taps or tap ins

Some usually blue for the size wires you are using
