Default I screwed up Homelink

I tried to tap into the Homelink wires on my 02 SSEi to power a radar detector. I tapped the orange to positive and the black with white stripe to negative. After doing this, neither the detector nor Homelink will work. I pulled off the taps and Homelink still doesn't work. Was the wiring correct? Everything else in the overhead console works fine. Did I wire it right? Does Homelink have a seperate fuse I may have blown? I can't find any reference to Homelink in the fuse section of the manual. Can anyone help? Thanks.................
