Sorry guys, the Windshield is set up to be optimized for reflection at a particular wavelength.....green in this case. Other colors won't reflect as well.

The lens wouldn't be a problem, as it'* there to make up for the windshield distortion (shape) that wouldn't change. (in simpler terms, the lens is a compensator for windshield shape, and has a double prescription.....one prescription in the X direction, another in Y).

The hud isn't as much of a projector as it is a direct view item. It'* not projected onto the screen, otherwise you could see it from any angle, it'* just looking at a reflection on the windshield.

And it displays on the VF in reverse, so the reflection is true. (mirror image). Find someone with a Hud, and look down through the windshield at the display unit.
It'* very intense, because only a small percentage is reflected back to the driver by the windshield.

that would cost a butt load of $$. just out of curiousity, why would you want a dvd screen on your windshield?? call me crazy but isn't that a little dangerous?

Im probably just going to end up getting the Kenwood Navi. I like how you can alter the speeds so you get more of an accurate ETA.
