Have you been to the HomeLink website to check compatibility? I have this in my car as well, but it is NOT compatible with all transmitters. I have one that it simply won't work with, while others are fine. There is some information there and, if I recall correctly, a support number.

Please post the result. I'm curious to know the outcome 
On a side note, there'* another section listing all the different vehicles with HomeLink. I didn't realize there were so many.
