Default Electrical problem

My wifes 1990 SE radio quit working so being the nice guy I bought her a new cd player and installed it with no trouble but no power. Check the fuse, looks good. The cigerette lighter also quit working. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx

I kinda figured they were on the same circuit. The breaker looks fine and I even switch breakers. Any suggestions as why this circuit may be dead?

I don't know if this will help but last weekend when I plugged in my radar detector into the cig lighter, the plug had a short and blew out the circuit. So now the radio is dead along with the power antenna and cig lighter. I checked the radio fuses at the radio and at the fuse panel(I think it was the #4 fuse) and they were fine. Then I opened the trunk up and the trunk light did not go on. Hmmmm! I checked the #11 fuse and sure 'nuff, that 15 Amp fuse was cooked. I replaced it and now I have my tunes back. I know my 91 Oldsmobile is not the same as a 90 Bonneville, but we are first cousins. So my question to you is, did you check ALL the fuses??

I did not check all the fuses. First thing I'll do when I get off work. Thanx for the tip.
