Default door switch ???

the computer on the dash dosen't see that my ds door is closed ,leaving the lights on , so i unhooked my battery , would that sensor be in the door?? any had this experience yet??

I think that switch is on the car, where the latch is located for the door. Usually under it.

i don't think it is under latching point of the body, could it be apart of the door latching assembly inside the door??

Every door has a switch inside the door on the latch. The front doors also have a switch on the door handles. All the switches work by grounding at the infamous ground buses on both the driver & passenger side. Start by checking the ground buses. See Techinfo>electrical>other.

i checked out my mian ground bus, it was very clean , with no corrossion, ???

Now you'll have to check the switch in the driver'* door. I think the switch is open when the door is closed & closed when the door is open. Just unplug the switch & see if the light goes out.

so basically take the door apart to get at the switch located at the latch, unplug the switch and the light should go out ?thanks

ok i have pulled the panel off and i have found two plugs on the latch assembly inside the door , should i unplug both on my 94 ssei ?? if that'* the unit , it doesn't look like fun to get out !! thanks for any advice
