Default Dome light intermittently working with the doors open

This is for my 2002 Bonneville

I noticed the dome lights not working (with any and all doors open) on Wednesday while at work. Later, when I got home, I noticed they were working again. Since Friday they haven't been working. What do I need to check? They do work with the dash switch.

On a side note, The overhead DVD unit I had installed has dome lights built into it. The stereo shop tied them in to work with the dome light circuit. So that they come on with the doors open or the dash switch. They are also intermittently working the same as the car'* dome lights are.

I'm starting to think this car may have the White Curse you all speak of. Any ideas of what I need to check. I'm guessing I may have a loose wire connection somewhere.

Thanks

Was it dark enough for the lights to come on? If the sun load sensor indicates daylight, the interior lights will not come on. If it was dark, this description of operation should give you places to check.

That'* a good one, Dick. In the old days a car didn't know day from night, the courtesy lights came on every time a door was opened.

Isn't it great how "advanced" these electrical systems have become.

I can't even tell you how long it was before I noticed it did that. I was concerned the first time I noticed it, too because I had done some door work, and thought I messed something up!
