So how do you eliminate the DRL'* then? Just cut the wires to the resistor?

All you have to do is unplug the connector. NO cutting is needed.
Follow the 2 wires coming out of the white resistor and you'll see a the connector.

Thank you guys. I did that yesterday but the car was running when I disconnected it and they didn't shut off, therefore I thought I was wrong. I just did it with the key off and it worked, so thanks alot.
