Any ideas why on my 91 Bonny the compass and DIC only show up very dim and sometimes bright, if they are showing up and I put the headlights on they fade out to nothing, Thanks, Rodger

What'* your battery gauge reading before/after headlights?

sounds like a bad connection going to yoru dashboard to me.. are there any other problems with any of the otehr gauges?

My battery reads the same with lights on or off, I was thinking it might be a bad ground to the dash but it only affects the compass and DIC, the only cure might be to pull it apart and clean all the connections, Thanks Rodger

Rodger, there'* a procedure for remove the cluster in the 87-91'* up in Techinfo. I'd suggest doing that, and clean and re-seat all your connections as a first troubleshooting step.

you can try to clean the connection, but i experienced the same problem in my ol 90 SSE, and it was due to a faulty cluster. there was alot of problems with the 88-91 clusters, most had to be sent back to be refurbished. i dropped in another cluster, and bam my problem was gone.
