Climate swap 95+ into a 93?
This is kinda reaching out there, perhaps the guys with a few parts sitting around in NEBF territory can figure this out quickly for me.
I prefer the 95+ Climate controls over the ones in my car because the ***** light up, and the OFF position is on the fan ****, not the level/direction ****.
Is it possible to swap one in with little, to no wire swapping? Is the harness the same?
Maybe we can get pix up of the back of both units. I have a 93 FSM, and the Chilton'* as well if anything needs to be researched.

it'* been done successfully each time attempted.
Swap the ECC and programmer box and you'll be 100%. SSE Motorhead did a writeup on how to swap a programmer when he was doing it on his 93 SSEi.
if you need some parts holler..I've got two setups sitting here in parts cases.

the 95 ***** had a different lighting than the 93'*
having had my ecc apart many times, i would say you need to remove the Fan, Temp and selector from the Head unit....(they screw off) and then insert them into the 95 headunit....this way you know that everything will work with teh 93 wiring. Also im not sure about the lighting but its easy to add if needed
i would say that its 100% doable with very mininal mods

Don does yours have the OFF position on the level adjustment, or fan speed?

I think GM changed the ***** in 96-97... And if you were to replace the ***** on the 94-95 the replacement is now the newer *****.. Hmmmm... Makes me wonder..
