Default Climate control codes

I have a 95 SSE and the air mixer is not moving. The Dealer said it was the programmer. Got one from the wreackers. Id not fix the proble. Tried chacking the codes my self using the Off & Temp up buttons, did not work. Do I have to do something different for a 95 to get the codes? Its pritty bad when you have to have the windows down even when it'* cold out.

93 was the last year you could extract the codes yourself. You must go to the dealer to get them with a 94 or newer.

How do you extract the codes? Is it using the ALDL port? I don't have any codes, but it would be good for future reference.

Thanks for the update willwren. Would you know the pin out on the cabe from the programmer to the air mixer servo? I don't know if my car still has the problem or if the used programmer I have has the same problem

I've never looked into that level of troubleshooting. I can fully troubleshoot mine from the ECC itself.
