I have a 2000 and the original radio display finally quit lighting up. I purchased one and have the VIN of the vehicle that it came out of. Can I unlock this myself, or do I need to take it to the dealer?

If I need to take it to the dealer, can any GM dealer unlock it?

How much does this cost on average?

Off to the dealer. You need a tech2 to unlock it. Have no idea what they will charge, every dealer is different.
