The butt heater quite
Well for those that dont know I live in Minnesota and this morning its about 4below and my car decided that the drivers heated seat would quite working on the coldest day of the year! I was woundering if anyone has some things that i can check, It does come on for about five sec and then turns right back off, doesn't madder if its on high or low the light on the switch goes out after about 3-5 sec. I haven't checked anything yet but i dont think its a fuse or i wouldn't get any light on the switch. If you have any ideas i would love to hear them.
Tough to say. The element might be burned out.
I am in the process of installing some. The butt heater in the cadillac seats have a temp sensor built in. None of the others do.
If you locate the connectors we can check and compare resistance. I'm sure they are close enough to do comparisions.
If the bonne ones are like the caddy there are 4 elements. Under lower thigh, butt, lower back and upper back. Each is plugged in under the seat to a single relay pack. That is fed hi/low and ignition on from a switch, seperately it is fed fused constant power and ground.
