Default Brake light out but not tails?

I'm having what i think is going to be an electrical gremlin in my SSEi. When i hit the lock or unlock button on my FOB both of my tail lights light up the way they're supposed to. But starting just the other day neither of the lights on the drivers side light assembly light up when braking. What could this be?

There are two elements in the bulb. One for the tail lights, the other for the brake light. You likely just have burned out bulbs. How to for replacement with bulb numbers is in techinfo.

Ok great, i didn't know that. I'd much rather have to swap out a bulb or two than have to go tearing into wiring harnesses and relays. I'll have to try the easy fix first.

Easy is always nice! I believe that the techinfo article mentions this, but I'd suggest that while you're doing things, replace the brake/tail light and marker lights on both sides. They were all installed at the same time, and receive the same amount of use, so the others won't be far behind in burning out.
