If the scan tool only gives a rich/lean toggle, that wouldn't necessarily mean that the sensor is what most mechanics would call "good"

In talking with my mechanic buddy, he told me you look for a quick toggling and high/low voltage toggle as well.

If you go from 300mv to 500mv consistantly..that isn't good, but it'* a rich/lean toggle.

Right... You want to see 800mv-200mv or so from a good sensor... The sensor can be almost dead and still give a rich lean toggle... I have been there a time or 2... Not nice when you milage is 14 city and 23 hwy
