Default Bonneville Minus Windows = Not Good = SOLVED

As you all know I have a 96' SSEi and tonight I was trying to wire in a delay turn off on my amplifier (simple diode and electrolytic capacitor on the turn on lead)... all work was being performed in the trunk with my interior light on in the trunk.... I get a 47uF one wired in... doesn't create any delay... so I up it to a 220uF.... I turn the car on and notice I don't have power from my windows, sunroof, or Head Unit. Pat, my beloved friend... helped me out and we found out my HU is most likely bad since the factory one powers up and takes cd'*... but could not figure out the window problem.

My fuses look fine... I do not have a test light and did not check anything under the hood.

EVERYTHING WORKS BESIDES THE SUNROOF//WINDOWS.

Advice is greatly appreciated.

I'll Add something i Just remembered

I used the red acc. behind the radio for the remote turn on... therefore I was using the diode and electrolyic capacitor on the accesory wire.

well I will add that we Adam didnt have a test light but, we checked the #1 relay which was the sunroof relay and it didnt get hot or click, so im not sure if its getting power or not....., but his Alpine wouldnt power on at all, so he put the factory HU back in and it took a CD spooled up and read it.....so im guessing that has power...I am stumped on the windows sunroof tho........and it dosent help trying to work on the phone at night either......

is there a fuse//circuit breaker that control my windows.. I do not see anything in the manual. I can't imagine it being any more than this.

guess it'* better than drilling into something in when going through the firewall. haha.. i felt like a king with my AC on this morning as well.... I never run my air.

I believe one circuit breaker is for the windows [probably sunroof also], and the other one is for the electronic seat adjustments. Do you have power at the circuit breaker?

the fuse cover tells you which fuse is for what.

If you have no test light or multimeter I'd suggest picking up even a cheap one. Like under $10. Anything to help you out.

Odd...I thought they always had the diagram. Check your owners manual for the fuse information. They put it somewhere
