Default Blinking interior lights

Hello every one.

the car: 96 Bonneville SE

I wanted to help out one of my friends that has this 96 SE.

The prob: Blinking interior lights even while driving, but they do stop blinking while driving after one minute.
Also they blink intermintently even if the key is pulled out and car off.

The dealer has traced it down to the pass. side front door and has offered no fix for this problem at this point.

I did find a related post to this but there was no ending solution to there problem either.

thank You as always for your time and help with this

The dealer was not very helpful my friend said. All they could say that it was probably a door switch. We can not find that switch any ways. I was thinking that it is built into the door striker switch or something.

When this happens all of the inside lights blink also the relay under the dash clicks.

Thanks...todd

It is built in to the latch assembly. Door panel removal is in Techinfo/Interior.

Thank You Will.

I'll probably buy a new latch for him and install it soon.

Todd.
