The recommended battery could have anywhere from 650 to 800 CCA. In warm weather with a good starting car there'* hardly any benefit to the higher amps. In sub zero weather &/or a hard starting car an 800 CCA battery will crank longer than a 650. A good running 3.8 should start in less than 5 seconds.
