Anyway, any one know what the 3 black wires connect to? I know one should be 12v+, and the other grnd, so what'* the 3rd one for? And how do I tell which one is which?

You don't need the reverse input. Just power and ground.

Or how about, taking it apart, look at the PCB to determine the pinout?

PIN 1=12V
PIN 2=GND
PIN 3=RI or in the SE world, NO CONNECT.

Why take it apart when the instructions and pinout were in that topic?
