Default Antenna and Twilight sentinel.

Two questions. First off, I have a 93boneville, not SSE. Non-stock radio in it. My step dad installed the thing, but cant figure out how to reattach the power antenna, so basically it has no antenna. I was wondering what I need to do to correct this problem. Also, the twilight sentinal control **** is crap, it rarely turns on the light. As in I turn the ****, but nothing happens. Ideas? Thanks in advance.

there should be a antenna wire behind the dash near the radio....you will need an adapter to use it with your aftermarket radio

as for the twillight, we have been experiencing problems with the headlight switches lately

The power antenna wire you are looking for should be at the factory connector for the radio as a blue wire. Give it power from the new radio and that should get you fixed up.

The twilight sentienal doesn't actually turn on the lights. There is a photocell on the dash that senses when to turn on the lights automatically. The twilight sentinel settings are merely how long the lights stay on after you turn off the car.

If your'* is giving you trouble, Jimmyfloyd may have one for sale that he pulled from his parts car last week.

Hmm, not really suprised to find out people have been having problems. This is my moms car, and I want to fix it as a christmas present for her. I drive an 85 ram, so Im not very experiances in electrical problems, as that thing as so little electronics on it its rediculus. Is there anything I can do about this switch? Has any solution been reached yet?

::EDIT::
The thing Im having problems with is the switch that controls the brightness and on/off of the dash lights. That piece rarely turns on. If you fidget with it, sometimes you can get it to work.

I would say the rheostat is bad....can't be fixed....you need a new/replacement switch.

Crap... How much am I looking at here?
Also, anyone know what I would need and the cost of the part to use the switches on my steering wheel with an aftermarket radio?

For the switch, check autozone or advance...says $35, but don't know if it is has the twilight sentinal or not.

To make your steering wheel audio controls work with the aftermarket head unit, check this thread: http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=44049

I have a 93 Twilight Sentinal Switch and a Non-Twilight Sentinal Switch here from 93'*. Let me know if you are interested. I can even include instructions for replacing it. it Requires a T15 Torx driver to do, but possibly can do it with a 7mm socket as well.
