Default Are All Bonnevilles Wired The Same?

I went to the junk yard this past weekend and found it to be plentiful with Bonnevilles. I took out the radio antenna and replaced it a power antenna. My Bonneville had the connection for the power antenna there. There was also a hole for the water drain which was covered by that black goop. That lead me to wonder if there are other connections not being used in the car. Like the power seats. Perhaps they are under the carpet. Does anyone know?

no, most of the extra things you get in the SSE or SSEi'* use either a different wire harness or they add on the section from the factory.

For the AL7 seat you can grab the whole harness in the Junk Yard car and then just run ground, Power, and lumination.

The power antenna i think you will need to run a power wire to the radio for the antenna power on wire.

*Edit*
I did the AL7 swap in my SE

I put a power antenna in my 98 SE. The power wire was already there. I just plugged it up and it worked. Which is why I wondered.

Some wiring may be there. For example the power antenna wiring is there on all cars and makes a power antenna a snap.

The AL7 seat wiring is not in all cars. I believe some sort of power and ground is always under the seat. Therefore adding certain items is easy. Swapping a climate control system would want a major rewire and different ducting/HVAC box inside the car.

Ask away as you have ideas of what to change over and we can probably answer pretty easily.

Autodimming mirror is easy if you don't already have it.
