Default Adding gagues

I'm going to be adding (finally) a trans temp, and air-fuel ratio gauge. This is all really new to me and quite frankly I don't have the foggiest clue what I'm doing when it comes to wiring. I know which wire to tap for the AF gauge and I have an understanding of what I'm supposed to do to get this trans temp gauge in, but when it comes to tapping the ground and power, I'm just not sure where I'm supposed to tap into.

Could anyone give me some ideas on what a good spot to tap these items are? If it matters, I'm going to be putting in a pillar pod to mount the gauges.

it would be more complicated for me to write out than show you.....BUT for the benefit of the members here....

Pwr and grnd are easy...but you are also forgetting your backlighting

you want the power off a keyed source....so when the key is on the gague is on.....

ground....pick your posion...a ground is a ground

for thet lights i tapped off the Dimmer circut on the ECC or the radio

now on to the sensors....

A/F I used the wire coming off the PCM to get my reading for the gague

Trans...they supply you with the sensor that goes into the trans, and you use the plug on top of the trans to insert it in...

Hmmmm I thought of another thing on the dimming. Aaron.. your car has a special longer than most pigtail leading to the headlight switch. In the FSM identify which wire is the dimming and you could tap in right at the switch for that.
