Default '99SE 3.8 Fuel pump, windows, pwr seats and door locks

Hello, I am new here, but I have followed a few of your threads concerning my problem. It wouldn't start and we narrowed it down to lack of fuel. We couldn't hear the pump come on. We replaced the pump w/NAPA product. This pump was only giving 4-5 lbs. of pressure. So we thought it defective and replaced w/GM Delphi pump. It started and ran like a charm for about 2 days then same problem again. We checked the relay, the regulator, and the lines. Still the same nothing. That'* when I found your forum and the ground plate under the rug in the front compartmant. They didn't look corroded, but they were wet. I dried both sides with paper towel. Still no luck.(it'* been raining ever since can't get a blow drier out there). Any hints or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help and having this forum available to learn from. Mitzi

Not sure, but If it is still damp, I would suspect that the wetness is causing your issues at this point. Only real way to know is to dry everything out. Then we need to deal with where the water is getting in.

Yes indeed. I've pulled the metal bar out and brought it inside. There seems to be some corrosion or maybe a little plastic melting on the A spot(the biggest wire). Drying and cleaning now. Have Di-electric grease, can this be used to clean parts? Thanks, Mitz

Mitzi, Di-electric greas can be applied AFTER you clean up the contacts. A product commonly used to clean contacts is CRC'* QD Electronic Cleaner, usually available in your local hardware store.

Yeah! I fixed it with an emery board (finger nail file) and a set of sowing scissors. Thank you so much for your help. Signed Happy Mitzi. I love my Bonni again.
