As far as I know, I'm the only one with problems so far with these units. I've spoken directly with the manufacturer in the recent past, and will do so again tomorrow. It'* encouraging to know that both of my failures were different. Totally different failures. No trend. Still a PITA.
My crappy 105 spare will be going back on in the morning when my boss brings it in to work. In the meantime, the battery is charging, and will be enough to get me to work and back tomorrow.

Will - I am wondering if the 160 A and 200 A DP alternators are rated to the same standards as the OEM units.
My original 125 A alt has more than enough for me with absolutely no problems since new.
Maybe your new 160 A unit is really the equivalent of a less than the OEM 105 A unit and the 200 A unit may be a little better than 125. :?

Sounds like voltage reg. failure on this one. Sorry to hear of your woes with these alternators. Just a suggestion, have some one else install the new alt in your car. Don't touch it.
