You guys and girls here on the Forum gotta try this new wax I just got at Auto Zone. Its called Lucas Slick Mist, Fast And Easy Speed Wax. Its made by Lucas Oil. I have to go on record as to say that this is the best damn car wax I have ever used and I have used plenty of them. When you wipe it off it leaves no oily residue or what I call "wax dust". Just the pther day I washed up my Monte and used it for the first time and wow it brought out the deepest black I have ever saw on my car, and my car is black. The shine it leaves is just awsome. Works great on my rims as well. Trust me you have to try if you havent already. But this wax is the only wax I will use from now on.

I wish i saw this before i waxed my car the other day. It was hot out and baked my wax on before i could wash it all off. So know i have visible wax spots all over my whole car. No i need to buff it

I've got too many unused or partially used types of wax in my closet as it is and they all get the job done but with an endorsement like that what choice do I have. Besides, the name alone is a lot to live up to and Luca does have a good rep so I'll give em a shot.

So, here I am two hours later. I went to AutoZone and got the wax. The weather here is almost perfect for a wash and wax. Its 77 degrees, overcast and humid. The Bonneville was painted about a year ago (Maaco special) and the only wax until now has been the spray on at the car wash. Btw Maaco did a so so job but the paint quality and color was nice and the clear coat really looks good. Anyway, after washing and wiping it down I followed the directions. Simple, spray on, wipe with a dry cloth. No buffing, no residue, smells kind of like bubble gum. It was easy to use. I tried doing the left half of the car and comparing it to the right half but I couldn't see a difference so at least there wasn't a negative. Again, the clear coat is awesome. Apparently I didn't have any oxidation to speak of. Even when I looked at the white towel that I was using there was a little dirt and a slight blue gray color since that is the color of the wax. It worked well as a cleaner for all of the little specks of left over crap from who knows what. It should rain within the next few hours so I can see how well it repels water. It did not have the feel of a petroleum based liquid and they did not list any ingredients. I am old school so I always have looked for carnuba based waxes and still think they are the best but for a quickie job I must admit it was easy. Probably best as a maintenance between good deep polishes. I have never posted pics of my rides so I will here. The Park ave hasn't been detailed yet so excuse the crud. Thanks for the tip Steve.

So the rain came. The water beaded up nicely but I noticed that there was no stickness or greasy feel when applying it. Decent product for a quickie wash and wax.

This is just like the McGuires Quick Detailer, which is what I use in between my waxing events. The quick detailers work very well if you have a nice clean finish that has been clay bared first, or used as a clay bar lubricants.
