Window Tint question
When I got my 92 SE, the back windows had the terribly peeling remains of a failed tint film job. This spring/summer I would like to redo all the tinting, but I dont want to go through the pain of the tint film. I was looking at some aerosol tint products like VHT Nite-Shades, but cant find any reference on how they work for WINDOWS (everyone is using it to tint tails i guess). I was just curious about you guys' input. I personally figured taking the glass out of the doors and spraying the inside of the glass evenly would give a far better outcome than the film type products. So I'd like to hear about your experiences with this type of product and any other suggestions/opinions you have.
thank you
thank you
i have nevere seen someone use nightshades for windo tint before. i know a place in Clawson, MI that does excellent tinting if you would like to know about $180 for the whole car
Some people have had very bad results with night shades on their tails, I wouldn't want to use on my glass beacuse it might ruin it and it would be hard to get the whole thing even, film would be the best way to do it
Yah just the back window is going to be the tough one, but film still seems like the best way to go since if you don't like the look you can take it off (I know taking it off isn't fun but it would be a lot easier than removing the tint coating)
Thanks for the input guys. I guess film it is. lol. Does anyone have any input on those pre-cut tint sets on ebay? I'm looking to make sure that there is no 'boarder' of non tint like when the window is partially down on the top, or on the bottom when the window is all the way up. Thanks.
I would say search around and find a nice shop.. pay a little extra but get a good job. I know in alprena its kinda scarce up there lol. Plan a road trip (my g-pa lives just north of Alpena on Grand lake)
It'* not a good quality film, it will probably peel and turn purple like what was already on there, even if a pro installer did it with cheap film the result would be the same
Yeah, there aint squat up here for installers of anything. 98% of the stuff I've done so far has just been with the help of this site, a little bit of google, and a whole lot of crossed fingers..lol
