I have used the 'Absorber' ever since I bought my car. That thing is the BEST!!! Absorbs better than anything I've ever used, it'* strong as hell, and it'* washable. I can dry my car completely in less than 4 minutes.
Give this link a shot:

I bought the Blade about a year ago, and I could never do without it.

Whenever washing anything (dishes, hands, cars) the cleaning part doesn't come from the soap, it'* the friction, rubbing etc. Soap helps break down things, but you need a good brush and bucket IMHO.
According to physics, Oxygen in the molecular buildup of water (H20) is the actual agent that does the cleaning. Soap just breaks up surface tension in water (ex. how a little tiny bug can float on the waters surface). Theoretically, you can clean you car or any surface it just plain water and just enough pressure to the surface.

Ive seen commercials for that product
I usually just go to the carwash, highpressure wash it, then highpressure soap, then highpressure rinse, only costs about 4 bucks, i pull out into the lot, and dry it off good..so it doesnt freeze...
In the summer time i use my Kratcher Pressure washer, works great, usually followed by a good drying then maybe a coat of wax....
But thats in the summer time, i figure if i wax the rust, it will slow down!

I'm with PontiacDad: hard water. I sent off for the coupons, but I would be willing to try this "california blade" everyone is talking about. What is this and where can I get one?

On a side note, I used nothing but a hose, water, and good wash cloth to get my maxima sparkling clean, and that car had little to no swirl marks.
