I am new to the forum and would like to get some advice/information from other forum members.

I have a 2000 SSEI and would like to put some larger wheels on.

Have gotten one recommendation to use 20 X 8.5 with 245X35X20 tires. Saw one car on the forum with 20" wheels and they seemed a bit big. Another recommendation was to use 18" Caddie wheels.

I have also attached a picture of a wheel I am thinking about putting on the car. It comes in the following sizes I would potentialy be interested in: 18 X 8.5, 19 X 8.5 and 20 X 8.5.

One last question, does anyone know if the "red" brake calipers from an 05 Grand Prix GXP would fit my Bonnie?

The size of the wheel is a personal thing. It will depend if you want performance or just a look. 17" is my opinion of a good sized wheel. 18" is still ok but the ride get rough. There are some members that have used 20", but your ride and performance will suffer. A tire that'* 245 wide is a safe tire. If you get to 255 you will start to run in to rubbing problems. Also, the off set of the wheel will make a difference. This I have no idea what is needed.

I think those rims will look nice, where did you find them and for how much? just wondering, personally i would go with 18x8.5, it is a 115x5 bolt pattern i'm assuming?

you can do the GXP calipers, they also use much bigger pads and rotors to give you better stopping power, it can be pricy because you need the new brackets, calipers(assuming they have pads), rotors

Thanks for the feedback. The wheels are Stern. I originally saw them on ebay and then went on their website to check out all their products. They come in several styles, offsets and differant bolt patterns.

no problem, thats what were here for, I'll have to check those out, the bolt pattern is 5x115 i'm pretty sure but i would check it, as for the offset i'm not sure what the stock measurement is, staying pretty close to stock will make sure the car still handles well, too much negative offset hurts ride and handling

Thanks. Found a set of factory Caddie STS/CTS 18X8 chrome optional wheels I am interested in. They are 5X155 and the offset is 51MM. Does anyone know if that offset will work and how close it is to the original?

If they are OEM STS rims, they should work fine.
