Turtle wax rim cleaner does an amazing job IMO

Go to a drive-in car wash, feed the machine quarters until it turns on, and use the high-pressure hose to rinse it off. That works most of the time, especially if you get nice and close. I follow up by pressing the tire cleaner button, and then a regular wash and spray-on wax.

I have the stock plastic wheel covers, though. If you have rims, you may want/need something to keep them shiny.

(Also, while we're on the subject, stop by your local auto parts store and spend four bucks (Advance) on some spray-on-let-dry tire cleaner. Doesn't do much for brake dust, but keeps your tires looking shiny.)

Its a simple process but should be done in a nice way only.

I found an easy way to clean my wheels is to use the "bug brush" my local drive thru car wash has.

I know it's supposed to be for removing splatted on bugs, but it also does a hell of a job taking brake dust off chrome.

I use Eagle One All Tire and Wheel Cleaner and a microfiber towel. Been using this stuff on the Bonnie, the bike and truck. Works great!

I think he means, that he might have the brown stain left by the brake dust he can't get off, thats my problem right now. The previous owner didn't take much care of the rims.
