I don't think it would look too bad (IMO). It would definitely NOT flow as good with the front and rear bumpers. But, since it'* only 3M tape holding it on, you could always stick it back on if it isn't what you're looking for...

Oops. I thought they were on trim piece too. I looked closer, and sure enough, looks like it is part of the metal on the door.
I'll fix my PS of it when I get home tonight (2am central).
