Default WARNING: Turtlewax F21 Wheel Cleaner

It says safe for all wheel types. Safe this and safe that.

Today CFoote and I tested it...looked good. Put it on both his 96 SE and my 97 SSEi, brushed the wheels with a rim brush and hosed it right off. When it dried there was haze. Bottle says discontinue use if hazing occurs. Had to polish the wheels to get rid of the haze.

Just a warning if you aim to use it...you will probably get haze.

Went right back inside and grabbed my Meguires Hot Rims cleaner... never a problem with that.

Ya this stuff DEFINITELY sucks...stay away from it! They were babbling on the label about "Nanotechnology" or something....whatever the case may be the stuff can ruin your finish if you leave it on there long enough.

Foote says it sucks...I'd put anything that screws up my rims a couple of categories past that.

I wish I'd seen this topic before I used it, which I did no more than an hour ago. I must say that I had fantastic results, though. No hazing whatsoever, wheels came out clean and beatiful. Both the clear aluminum and the gold parts of the wheel. Front and back.

Glad to hear someone used it and had good results. Don't get me wrong..it cleaned the brake dust right off... and then hazed and we had to polish the rims.

I'd say be careful with it.

I'd say don't use it if it had a bad effect on one person'* wheels. I'll keep using it, cuz it worked great with no ill-effects, but I wouldn't suggest anyone else try it.

Both of us have the brushed aluminum look and it got both...

Apparently your ghettos liked it. Cool deal.

Did u do it in the sun, how long did you let it sit, or were the wheels hot at all? Wills obviously haven't been used in months.
