Default Tint Laws & Regulations concerns

I'd like to tint my car but I have a question. The state of Illinois does not limit how dark the rear passenger windows can be, but there cannot be any tint up front. If I visit another state for a meet (MN usually), which has very strict tint laws could I be forced by an officer to remove it as a state visitor?

Very simple question, but I don't know the answer.

No, at least not in MN.

I would like to get my car licensed out of South Dakota solely for this reason
