How do you keep the dogs' nails from puncturing the leather? I'm SO nervous about letting our 82 lb. Golden Retreiver in our Buick because I don't want the leather to look like Swiss cheese. There must be a way to prevent damage.

But it will slide on the leather. My dog isn't exactly one to sit still in the car, so it'* bound to not stay where I place it.

Where'* Bill? I know he transports his moose around in the back seat...

Petco sells real/fake sheepskin seat covers with rubber backing. Cut to fit.

I tuck it in the back, wrap over the front edge, and tuck it under the front. It stays put.

Ahh. OK. Didn't know such a thing existed. Does it do a good job of catching the hair, too? More on the blanket = less I have to vacuum off the floor.

I just run mine through the dryer on warm with a dryer sheet or two to get the hair to release. But then again, Bo has really short hair. He also stays put on his side of the car, so I only have to cover half the rear seat.

Make sure you get your seats well lubed/protected a day or two before you put it in. On hot days, the rubber backing MIGHT try to stick to he leather (not life-threatening, but a PITA.....happened to me once last year).

If you got room in the trunk, use it

JK

But usualy the pooch (small, mediumish) lays in between the two front seats (bucket seat swap left the console out)

I used to worry about it, now I don't . My golden (70lbs) hasn't poked a hole yet.

Does the Buick have child seat hooks? You could use those to help keep the covers in place.
