Didn't GM have a problem with their white paint doing this? I've seen a LOT of 90s model GM cars with white paint flaking off of them in huge chunks. It always amazed me how I'll see a really clean car with a super straight body and really shiny paint, you can tell it'* been taken care of, then you look at the roof and the paint is flaking off and a huge rust spot on it.

Mine is doing the exact same thing as EK98'*. You can see it on the passenger side in this pic

Our cars may not be twins, but they keep getting closer and closer...

That usually only happens on 95+ GMs. I've seen very few 94 and unders with chipping white paint. Most GMs that do have chipping paint are usually the 95+ luminas and monte carlos that are white.

My black 95 SSEI has it pretty bad... Most of the hood and roof has huge chunks of primer gone, and in some parts down to the primer. I also had an 89 SSE with the same problems.

on my SSE, paint is chipping away off the rear bumper, and the clear is coming off the trim line

that was over a year ago, every few weeks another chunk comes off. the paint is now chipping almost all the way along the black trim line, this is only on my bumper though.
